British Fashion Council names 2026 New Wave creatives

The British Fashion Council (BFC) announced its 2026 NEW WAVE: Creatives list on 21st October, recognising 50 young talents working across the fashion industry.

The recipients will be celebrated at The Fashion Awards 2026 on Monday 30th November at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The list covers disciplines including photography, styling, casting, creative direction, hair, make-up and set design.

This year’s announcement also introduced beauty commentators and show producers.

Those recognised include creative directors Bevan Agyemang and Jess Canje, fashion stylists Chino Castilla and Seyon Amosu, and photographers Salomé Gomis-Trezise and Winter Vandenbrink. Sound designer Baby Cousland and florist Julia Campbell Gillies also feature.

Laura Weir, chief executive of the BFC, said: “Fashion moves forward when new voices and perspectives are heard and given room to grow.

“NEW WAVE: Creatives celebrates the people shaping our industry, often behind the scenes, and recognises the breadth of talent from across a diverse range of creative disciplines that contribute to fashion’s cultural influence.

“It’s a real privilege to bring this community into the spotlight at The Fashion Awards and celebrate the creativity, ideas and individuality that make our industry so exciting.”

Panellists included photographer and film maker Aidan Zamiri, fashion editor and stylist Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, stylist and creative director Ib Kamara, and designers Simone Rocha and Tolu Coker.

The NEW WAVE platform allows users to search profiles by discipline, country and year. It is intended to help those building creative teams find talent across different areas of fashion.

The full 2026 list is available through the BFC’s NEW WAVE: Creatives platform, ahead of the recipients’ recognition at November’s awards.
